Why work with me?
If you’ve read my blog, you’ll know that my ‘about me’ page shouldn’t really be about me.
It’s about you.
How will working with me, help you?
It’s all about the message. Delivering the right message, to your audience, is what I do and it’s what I’ve been doing since 2010.
Sure, I’m good with words and I’m a self-confessed grammar nerd but I’m not here to write you something pretty. I’m here to help you sell, to help you persuade and to help you communicate— the right words, to the right people, in the right way.
I’m a small business owner, just like you.
I know what keeps you up at night because I’m tossing and turning over the same issues. I also understand the joy that comes from great feedback on a blog post or from landing a new customer.
I love being able to help my clients achieve these things too.
I also know what it’s like to entrust parts of your business to another professional so I make client relations a priority. I want you to feel comfortable working with me and vice versa. A happy customer is a repeat customer and I love developing long-lasting relationships with my clients and seeing how their businesses grow.
The credentials bit.
Okay, so it is a little bit about me. You want to know that I can deliver what I’m promising.
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2005 with an honours degree in Italian Language and Literature. This included a module in Translation Methodology for which I received a first class award and is possibly the root cause of my tendency to groan at rogue apostrophes.
After graduating, I worked in advertising sales where I temporarily sold my soul but gained a great deal of experience and training on the sales process, marketing strategy and on building effective B2B relationships.
I loved helping entrepreneurs connect with their audience and reach their business goals and I still love it now.
I am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and adhere to their codes of practice. I also participate in regular training courses and personal research to satisfy my nosiness and ensure I know what I’m banging on about.
